Dan Toomey

General Manager, Mission Dupont

Dan is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 17 years of experience working in restaurants. He joined Mission Group in 2023 as a manager at Mission Navy Yard, then was promoted to General Manager of Mission Dupont in 2024.

He started his career in Palm Desert, CA as a host/busboy at Applebee's. Dan quickly advanced through various roles, gaining extensive experience in fine dining establishments such as Pacifica and Mitch's Prime Seafood on El Paseo Drive.

In 2009, Dan moved to the DMV area and completed his degree in history at Catholic University, where he also became fluent in Spanish and walked on to the football team.

Throughout his career, he has worked for renowned brands including Darden Restaurants, Great American Restaurants, and Five Guys.

His leadership journey began at Ciao Osteria in Centreville, VA and continued with managerial positions for Matchbox at various locations in Northern Virginia. 

In his free time, he loves riding Capital Bikeshare bicycles around the and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
